（1） general performance PET resin is milky white translucent or colorless transparent body, with relative density of 1.38 and light transmittance of 90%
　　
　　（2） the tensile strength of PET film is very high, which is comparable to aluminum foil, 9 times of HDPE film and 3 times of PC and PA film. The results show that pet has small creep, excellent fatigue resistance （better than PC and PA）， good wear resistance and friction resistance. The mechanical properties of PET are less affected by temperature.
　　
　　（3） the thermal properties of pure PET plastics are not high, but the mechanical properties are better than that of PF laminates at 180 ℃， which is the better heat-resistant variety of the reinforced thermoplastic engineering plastics. Pet has good heat-resistant aging property, and its embrittlement temperature is - 70 ℃， and it still has certain toughness at - 30 ℃。 Pet is not easy to burn, and the flame is yellow with dripping.
　　
　　（4） although the electrical properties of PET are polar polymers, its electrical insulation is excellent and it can be well maintained at high frequency.
